The Boundary Commission for Northern Ireland has today published its Guide to the 2023 Review of Parliamentary Constituencies. The Guide includes information on the upcoming boundary review process and outlines how members of the public, political parties and wider civic society will be able to share their views. This review will run alongside similar reviews across other parts of the UK.
Deputy Chair of the Commission, Mr Justice Michael Humphreys, said
“I am pleased that the Guide to the Review has been published today. The Guide includes information on the boundary review process and how members of the public will be able to share their views. The Commission encourages everyone with an interest to participate in the upcoming consultation process and to follow our website and social media channels for more updates throughout the review”
The publication of the Commission’s initial proposals and the first period of public consultation is planned for autumn 2021. The Commission’s final recommendations are due to be submitted to the Speaker of the House of Commons, who is the Chair of all four UK Boundary Commissions, by 1st July 2023.
